Help me please

Hello, I'm new here and im looking for help on spiritual magick, and other forms of talking to spirits with out the use of necromancy. I know that necromancy is needed in some spells to speak and summon spirits but im trying to become a powerful witch. BabaYaga is my hero and i want to learn to be as helpful as she is/was.
If anyone can offer me some advice i will begreatful and one day return the favor.

Learn the basics first hun!

There's nothing wrong with necromancy,as long as you use it in a fluffy nonsense such as raising a dead army,etc.

Shamanism maybe is what you are looking for.There is a shaman coven here on SOM and maybe they teach newbies on shamanism

yes look at the path of the shaman coven, I'm a member and I do some spirit work, but make sure you now how to meditate,ground/center, manipulate energy and to cast a circle or some form of protective magic. once you do that you can call spirits(a more respectful form of summoning in my opinion) by sending thoughts on energy you send out to a spirit. that is how I do it but there are many other ways.

I know some about shamans because on my dad's side of my family comes from a native american shaman and i think i was given some gifts but im the only on in a family now-a-days that believes and uses them.

I, too, believe that my gifts come from my Native American side. And I'm the only one in the family with the belief and the use of these gifts. Educate yourself and learn much. You will be quite surprised at what you can do after such study of understanding. Blessed Be...
