a poppet test spell
By: / Beginner
This is a spell to see if your poppet is working. For it you will need:
-Your poppet
-A pair of scissors
-A blue or purple pen or marker
First, take your poppet. In order to test it, you will need to inflict a small wound on the poppet. For a cut or scratch, cut a small slit on the poppet's arm or leg. For a bruise, draw a small dot with the pen or marker. When I say small, I mean a little cut or bruise, nothing that could send the person to the hospital. So no cutting off limbs or heads, stabbing, etc. unless your intent is to kill the person, which I strongly reccomend that you don't do. Remember, this is just to test your poppet. When you test water, you only dip your foot in, not your whole leg. The same goes for this. Focus on the injury and visualize the person having it. Focus your energy into the poppet. While doing this, chant or whisper,
"Poppet of (person's name), let me see,
if my magic works on thee,
when and how I do not care,
let this wound not hurt much but be there."
If after a while, the person has a cut or bruise the same or similar to the poppet's, then you can do whatever you intend to do, and it will work. If not, then just try again with a different poppet.
If this spell doesn't work, please don't be too mad at me. I am trying it and if it works for me I will post here again saying that it worked.

I hope I understand your English.

me only do not like about your spell... here it is:
"if my magic works on thee,
when and how I do not care.."

to which these doubt? you doubt in your magic, and is that your magic is working? the magic can never be doubted. always have to have a clear conviction

I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm doubting it, but I don't really mean it that way and only realized that now. The "when and how I do not care" part is basically like saying that time doesn't really matter and it's okay if it takes a while to work, like most spells do. the "see if my magic works on thee" is pretty much my way of expressing that I want to have a solid foundation for my initial goal.
