If you are new to magic, then you will never make a spell work. Casting a spell takes much studying and learning. A spell is using your own energy, with that of the Earth, to make changes in yourself or your environment. And there is no spell that will go against Nature.Much to the surprise of many children on this site, magic will not change your human body into anything else!

Many years ago. 1939. I don't cast many spells. I never did, really. But the ones I have cast did work.

so if you have such experience, can you give a hint or a book to read.
because where i live, magic is only in fairy tales, if anyone talks about it, people only laugh at him and call him mad.

You live in a predominantly Christian town I presume! It is the only religion that tries to hide the truth of magick.

Sacred-Magick.com has quite a few wonderful articles to start you with. The viewpoints there are not very religious which is great for someone who has had previous religious influence. Pagan beliefs can be confusing if you're not familiar with them.

As for a book, I don't like modern literature on the craft. I suggest you read on the history of magical practice in ancient cultures. Especially mythology. And philosophy! There is all sorts of good advice in old philosophies such as Aristotle and Socrates that can apply to magickal practice.

And welcome to the board. Reading back on past posts is also a great way to begin learning the fundamental principles of magick.

As Buddha said,"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it."

It is one of my favorite quotes and they are wise words to live by!

One of the most important things to understand is how and why magic works. Casting a spell is a lot more than simply chanting some words and lighting a candle or some incense. Often this is all that a beginner knows to do, and that's why their spells fail.

There are some good books that discuss the how's and why's of magic. Some I would suggest for you are:

"Before You Cast a Spell" by Carl McColman
"Spells and How They Work" by Janet and Stewart Farrar
"The Veil's Edge" by Willow Polson
"Modern Magick" by Donald M. Kraig

well i am christian but the whole country is Muslim (Jordan), and Muslims do magic a lot, like it's a part of their religion, and all the magic they do is dark deep magic with demons.
so i can't trust any wizard here because he may lead me to my
death.
and the Christians are denying that there is magic!
but after all, thanks a lot for the web and for the books :)) i really have learned a lot so far.
