Leviathan

Does anyone know much about Leviathan? Was it only a sea monster, or could it have been associated with anything else, such as a sword? Sometimes I have dreams about dragons and swords. There was this one dream i had where a sword I was wielding(even though I know nothing about swords) was called Leviathan, and the blade was very unique. It's hard to describe sorry lol but but the blade was kind of twisted or curved and jagged on some edges. The metal was weird to, like a silvery.. er, pearlscent(?) color. But it seemed to shine other colors depending on light.

Since it stuck out so much to me I was just curious and thought to ask here if anyone knows about Leviathan or any good/honest links? :)

if i remember right it was a sea monster sent by the sea god, i'd have to double check, but as for what you saw i'm not sure but it could be a blade made from the scales of leviathan. that's just a guess

Leviathan is the word for "whale" in modern Hebrew. In Jewish lore, the Leviathan is just a sea monster. G-d made two, and then thought "lol, wait, this could wreck the world, I'll kill off one of them!". Also, in the story of Jonah, Jonah very narrowly missed being eaten by the Leviathan.

I don't think the creature is associated with swords in any myth.

In Christianity, the leviathan was considered as the demon of envy associated with the devil.

A number of interpreters suggest that Leviathan is a symbol of mankind in opposition to God, claiming that it and beasts mentioned in the books of Daniel and Revelation should be interpreted as metaphors.

people attach way too much meaning to the synapses that randomly fire in thier brain causing dreams.

this was a very cool dream, and you liked it, thus you remembered it.

that is all.
