Is there any reason why these two words are so similar yet so different?

Yeah but in the olden days they still used daemon though. Just a question, by the way: is their any particular reason why there are two different spellings of vampire? Because I know the Americans and English of the 18th and 17th century used the 'i' spelling, so I assume that's the traditional way.

So if you really want to talk about " demons" you say daemons? How is that pronounced?

I always understood this as, everyone has a Daemon. They are your guardian from greek mythology I believe but they exist on an astral level just like everything else xD And demons were just that...demons.

ShadowWolf has it exact except for the Daemon's location. They are not astral...they are beyond astral. In a realm not reachable by most humans.
