I understand that being rude in covens is a no no, and that you must participate and I try to as much as I can but my current living situations mean that I am often without internet for several months at a time and I am constantly being removed for inactivity.

Is there anyway I can stop this, I understand you need active members but whenever I have internet I try to be as active as I can be.

I am not sure whether or not to just give up on covens completely.

Have you advised your High Priest or High Priestess when you were going to be gone for a length of time? In Magical Knights I have a thread where people can post if they aren't going to be able to be on-line. That way I can tell that it's not just that they are inactive for no reason.

That would be really useful, but my internet is so temperamental most of the time I never know when it is going to go.

Covens automatically remove members that have not logged on for lengthy periods of time. It's the system, not always the HPs.

I have a curious question for you: If you are often without internet for several months at a time and cannot judge when/if you'll return, what are you gaining out of joining a coven? What is that coven gaining out of accepting you as a member?

The point of covens is multi-purpose; to learn, to share, to grow, and to socialize. If you are off the site for that much time at random intervals, are you really benefitting from being a member of a coven? Can you really say you are partcipating in that coven?

This isn't meant to shame you or anything like that (although I know it could be read that way if you so desired), but rather to make you think about why you want/like to be a member of a coven. If it's something that you can get equally without being a coven member, you might consider staying out of covens or joining a coven like Spell Casters. The system doesn't knock Council members out of the coven whenever they haven't been active for months at a time, so you would remain safely in Spell Casters. Or you could always try to convince a p/p that you are an awesome enough member when you are around to hold your account as Council in between your inactive periods.

I do it because I can have internet for six months of the time, the internet can remain for many many months at a time before failing again.

But I am not planning on rejoining, It's unfair to keep rejoining and wasting time when I will just be removed again.

That's unfortunate. Perhaps if it ever stablizes itself you can rejoin or join a coven. :)

I would like to do that, I enjoy the acceptance of a coven so it's just so nice to be a part of.

Have your Internet looked at. Your device could probably work better if it gets reset to factory mode, then it'll work like brand new again unless the problem has to due with the router. I'm not a technology buff. There are ways to improve your Internet connection.

Besides that, if you have a phone with 3G or 4G data, then you wouldn't need to rely on your router. That does cost monthly fees, though.

If not, stay out of the covens for now. You need your Internet checked up on. That will resolve your issue.
