Cast a spell on an object
By:
I have been casting spells for several years but I am still unsure as to the best way to cast a spell on an object. I want to cast the spell and then mail the item to another person. Is that possible and how is the best way to go about doing this?

Thanks!

Do you mean that you would like to charge an item, like a pendant, as an amulet, for example?

Very similar I guess but more than just charge.... It is a spell to start communication. I could just do the spell but since I am mailing something to this person, I want to put the spell on the item that I mail so it's more free will. Does that make sense?

It partly depends on the item. If it is soft, or sew-onable, you could add the symbol of mercury, the planet of communication. I would maybe use symbolism with the charging, like wrapping it up in a page of written dialogue.

You could carve the mercury symbol onto a blue candle, and burn it while holding the wrapped item, and chanting something along the lines of "we speak, we listen". The chanting itself will help, as it uses the throat chakra, which is the chakra of communication. If you are able, you can utilise this, and charge the item from throat chakra energy. That's a rough idea, your own creativity will make the spell, of course :)

Thanks for the idea!! It is a metal item which is harder but I like the candle/throat chakra idea!! Maybe chanting the spell while binding it to the item? Hmmm... I'll have to work on this.

I shouldn't say metal, it's actually a tungsten (silver) ring.

What you are looking for is the term "charm". Charming items is to place a spell on them that carries out a particular purpose when in someone's possession. I'm sure your research can continue on more smoothly now that you know the right terminology. =)
