While I do fully understand that English is not everyone's native tounge, it is very discrediting to see someone who is teaching lessons speak in an manner such as this.

Even if this is only the internet, as a teacher, one must conduct themselves in a manner that is both relatable and shows knowledge.

This post, unfortunatly, does not do the latter.

And I would think, that if the coven is looking for new members, that a council member or p/p should be the one to put a post up, instead of an ordinary member(unless done as some initiation/proof of dedication)

Glim

True. Grammar, spelling, punctuation and the like are desirable, and perhaps, in his native language he could do better, but Oakwulf conveyed the point he meant to, as he always does. Oakwulf was not necessarily asked to perform this task, he did merely because his coven is important to him. This is a welcomed, and condoned action.

Our coven is, in fact, looking for new members. Knowledgeable, beginning, still learning, active members. You'll notice we have few members, this is because I have requirements of the coven's members. If they are not met, they are removed. More commonly the problem is that if they are idle for 30 days, they are removed by the site.

Our forums are open to the public, both for reading and comment. Feel free to make your way there and drop us a line. We have many topics which we are continually discussing, most of which I find useful no matter the level of practice.

Thank you, Oakwulf, for your post. Thank you, readers, for your consideration...however condescending you may be with you replies.

I will also agree that Raven's Gate is a good coven for beginners (very organized teachings).

Condescending? I wouldn't say.
But I was thinking the same thing and just maybe it wasn't in bad manner just possibly a bit more straight forward than most are use to.
Possibly Oakwulf will take into consideration of checking grammar before speaking in public when endorsing his Coven, I personally have found it more honoring when I do so. :)

I also check and recheck my grammar and spelling before posting nearly anything. And I'm sure Oakwulf does as well, for what it's worth. I have asked him to begin allowing me to proofread his public postings, lessons etc. Hopefully he won't find it offensive and he will agree to allow me to do so.
