Native Hawai'ian Chants

Does anyone know any chants in the hawai'ian language(olelo Hawai'i)? It is unlikely. But maybe Google translate will help you come up with some. I am asking for this community to help me come up with some, because i am too busy, what with school and the holidays. I am also very lazy. And i am am ameteur when it comes to polynesian languages.

Laziness and business is not an excuse for carelessly using chants from a different language. If it's something you're personally interested in, set aside some time to learn to speak the language before jumping to use online translators that are questionable in accuracy.

If you're going to utilize another cultures language, beliefs, or anything for that matter, I suggest you give it a little more respect.

try your luck with Scott Cunningham, he loved Hawaii and wrote a book on the magickal practices, you might find some chants there. regarding anything in Hawaiian you might consider learning the language, or studying the culture and writing your own chants. [which might prove difficult if you're lazy, however if you're interested enough you'll find a way] my step mom's Hawaiian and i've learned some but nowhere near fluent enough to help translate chants. what exactly were you looking for? any chants in general or specific incantations? [personally i like Pele, and if you need an extra push she's the go to but she can be tough, so i wouldn't call on her for trivial matters]

don't feel bad being an amateur at Polynesian language, we all had to start somewhere [plus i've been practicing on and off for 15 years and still get tongue tied on certain words [i ho'oholo for example, i always pause longer than i should which makes my step siblings laugh because 15 years and i still can't say i ho'oholo without a 3 second pause to catch my breath when it should be more like a comma pause]

The concept of magickal power in the form of Mana is actually a Hawaiian concept. As someone who surfs, there is a lot of interest in Hawaiian concepts and practices of magic. So much of it is tied to the ocean and waves...

Sadly, so much information has been lost, and whats out there now is so spurious.

Good luck in your research. If you find good pertinent info, it would be great if you posted about it.

I have actually been trying to learn hawaiian sporadically for the last year now, but it is slow going. That and i have ADHD, i keep getting destracted, and it is my senior year in high School. I have memorized a few words, Aloha means hello, goodbye, love, ect.'olelo means language. My favorite hawaiian word is Pa'akai.
