The Enchantment Path

I just want to help out beginning enchanters a bit.

Ok, so, first order of business on the enchantment path is knowing what you are getting into. Enchanting objects isn't that easy but it really will help when performing magic in general. The ideal enchanted object should be able to support long-term protective spells without drawing on the user's energy and also be able to essentially help recharge the user's "batteries" - allow them to cast spells without drawing on too much of their own power. Giving the object a name actually will help in the long term by a lot, because objects that you "befriend" the spirit of will help you a lot more.

A basic Enchantment spell that works really well is chanting this incantation while holding your object and focusing your energies on it:

Spirits of the Heavens, Spirits of the seas, spirits of fire and earth listen to my plea; Enchant this object so it helps me; Harness the energies and listen to thee.

Give it a name soon after casting this, and it will really help.

Warning: This spell may mentally and physically exhaust you.

After enchanting it, try and give it some spells to maintain. I uploaded an enchantment method that is great at this link:http://www.spellsofmagic.com/spells/Spiritual+Spells/Defense+Spells/24910/page.html

I'll post some more about this path soon, but I hope this helps for now! And make sure not to put too much energy into a single enchantment - it's dangerous.

All right, let's get back to the Enchantment path.

A thing about actually enchanting items: don't make them huge!!! I put three exclamation points because this is literally one of the most important enchantment rules. The problem with huge enchanted objects is that they drain so much energy to create. The best enchanted objects will be small - i.e. a bracelet, necklace, watch or any other forms of jewelry. Plus, you need to exercise restraint while enchanting so that you don't shove too much energy into the item - it will heat up very fast, and if you drop it while casting the spell, you'll have to restart.

Also, enchanted objects are useful for spell creation. For instance, I specifically enchanted a pen that I use for magic only to write spells with. All spells I have created with that pen have worked perfectly.

These are the basics of the Enchantment Path. Mail me if you want some more detail on it.

Enchantment, in and of itself, or the act of enchanting is not a path. It is a practice that can be found within various paths. Even those that do not have a spiritual path or religion utilize it.

I am wondering if enchanting an object is similar to making a Talisman. I have made three talisman in the form of Pins, similar in shape to a safety pin except with three loops so as to hang semi-precious stones and charms from.
One was for creativity, one for health, diet and exercise and the last for psychic enhancement.
The time period for the making was one month, from New Moon to New Moon. Approx. 29 days.
Every day, hold the object in the dominant hand, touch it, think of what you are grateful for, Send your gratitude through your hand into the talisman.
Say words of Power to Lord and Lady, state the purpose of the talisman - Say Thank You, "So mote it be for the good of all" etc.
When using stones, cleanse them in the moonlight.
When the Moon is waxing - tell the talisman what it's purpose is.
When the Moon is full, it will reach it's highest charge.
When the Moon is waning, release all blockages, bad habits etc.
On the dark of the Moon, light a black candle to release the negitive.

Talismins are similar to enchantments, yes.

I apologize for calling it a path. I get that it isn't a "path" but it is a subpath basically that helps on others. I think I mistitled this thread to be a bit misleading, so I apologize for that as well.

As Misa has already said, it is a practice, not a path. Not a subpath, or a demipath, or a quarter-path. It is not a path, at all.
