Curious-Binding Ribbons?

Hi was just wondering, is there particular colors of ribbons to use when do spells? Ex: love spells, wealth spells, banishing spells, binding spells...ect.
I know every candle has its own purpose, just wondering if ribbons have same standing.

I am sure if you looked it up, you could find uses for each color, but like candles, the colors mean different things to different people, and can be substituted if you don't have a certain color.

Yes, there definitely is. Like candles, each color has a meaning for what it is you are trying to achieve like you said. This is also known as color magick. They can be used for white or black magic, whatever you define the definition.

There are many colour correspondence charts online, some of my favourites include:

  • The Magickal Cat: http://www.themagickalcat.com/Articles.asp?ID=241
  • The White Goddess: http://www.thewhitegoddess.co.uk/the_elements/tables_of_correspondences/colours_and_their_correspondences.asp
  • The Tree of Life: http://treeoflifestore.com/colormagick.html

Although these are just my personal favourites there are hundreds available online.

However, many websites will not match exactly, so it is best to cross reference and come to your own conclusions based on your own beliefs.

In many cases, it is more important that you feel a colour matches the intent than if a website claims it matches the intent, go with your gut instinct even if it doesn't perfectly match a website, as it is your spell/ritual/magickal practice, go with what feels right to you.

When it comes to the use of color in magic there are two paths. You can look up the generic colors associated with western paths, these are plentiful on the internet. You can also create your own associations based on culture and what you feel that color represents.
