The best summoning for a beginner is no summoning.
Till you know and can use the basics then nothing you will do will be effective.
Everyone usually suggests the forum posts:

Starting out

The Basics Expanded

They are really good for getting to grips with how things work.
Good Luck.

i can teach you how to do if you want? but i will not teach you anything unless i know you are capable of protecting yourself and others, being able to actually do it in the first place and finally your intentions to why you wish to summon if it is for a friend then you are doing it for totally the wrong reasons and should stay away from it but other than that i will be happy to help if you wish.

Go back over your basics before you start into summoning, already knowing a fair deal about magic is one thing, but think of it as being the refresher classes at the beginning of a new semester.

Think about why you want to summon something. What do you want to accomplish? Why is summoning the best solution for that? What do you want to avoid? Go from there.

What's easiest to summon is going to depend somewhat on you. How you magic and what you focus on when you're working tend to specialize you some. For me, it's plant spirits, nothing big but functional around the garden and home. It could be very different for you. Think about what you usually work with and try to figure it out from there.
