Music Magic?

I was looking for a spell that could use music as a catalyst for something, but all I could find was one about if you and an ex (be it best friend or boy/girlfriend) had a song you both liked you could use it to get back at them. So that got me thinking, what other (non-harmful ;-D) uses are there for music?

It doesn't have to be 'Momentous Dance Number Summons Dragon' or anything too crazy, I just want to know if it can be done, and if so, how?

Depending on how you define magic, music of all sorts could be considered magic.

I'm thinking, if I had...for the sake of argument, an idea for a spell to bring good luck, and I wanted to sing a little verse I wrote/will write to cast it. Just an example of what I'm thinking of, but hopefully you get the idea.

There are so many ways to include music in one's practices. Playing an instrument can be used as a mindfulness exercise (not necessarily in the mystic sense; just being totally immersed in the present while playing), or cen be used as a meditative tool to lose one's self in repetitive sound and motions. Listening to music can be similar.

Not to mention music is a great base for chants, mantras, etc. It is not aleays necessary, but creativity should always be encouraged.

Yay! Thank you! Magic is revealing itself to be more freeform than I had thought! (I grew up on Harry Potter and other sort of hard-and-fast-rules-to-magic stories ^u^")
