Reading Coming True

This is my newest experience with my scrying mirror which I am now loving.

So a couple of days ago I did some scrying for myself with a scrying mirror to see how the near future would look like... it said that my passions had set the wheels in motion already and that things will turn out just fine. This is what the spirit I was working with was saying too. I was wondering if I had set my mind on the right thing to pursue in college and wondering where I would live after I complete the independent living program I am going to be in.

Turns out that my English/Creative Writing teacher had submitted one of my literary pieces(I am a bit of a writer) in a state wide writing contest and it ended up placing as runner up(didn't win but that is still really awesome) in the contest and my older sister and her girlfriend asked me if I wanted to move in with them when they moved into a bigger apartment and I said yes.

This is the first time that I have ever had a reading start to come true in such a big way and I am so excited about it. This has made me want to learn a lot more about scrying mirrors. Right now for the interpreting of the things I see I've been writing down the shapes and symbols that I see and piecing together the meaning from writing together the meaning from what the symbols mean to me.

Has what I been doing an okay way of going about interpreting things?

This is awesome! I'm so happy for you, in all of this :D

How you're interpreting is fine, but you may find you get an even deeper and accurate reading when you study up on universal/archetypal symbolism

Where can I find more information onuniversal/archetypal symbolism? Are there any books on it?

I might suggest reading some Jungian literature (although beware of the New Age books about it because while there are some interesting observations, for the large part, the New Age movement kind of missed something about Jungs ideas). Jung discussed the idea that the human subconcious has a structure. He originally called these primordial images. They have also been likened to the social instincts that Darwin proposes. While Jung probably won't help you to discern specific images, I think he's a good base and an excellant way to better your understanding in general. You also might want to read about the Rorschach tests.

However, if that's too much for you, I'd actually suggest a book on reading tea leaves. The Rorschach inkblots and the tea leaves are not that dissimilar. A tea reading manual will give you the "what" but Jung and Rorschach will give you the "why".

I have this great book called The Book of Symbols by the "archive for research in archetypal symbolism". It cost me about $40 USD new, but I'm sure you can find it used. Highly recommended! So much research in this book between cultures and religions.
