Why do people post fluff

It is sometimes aggravating when people post so much fairytale beings on the forums can the mods remove such fluff when they post about fairytale being.

Are the mods able to remove such fluff or do they allow this to be fair to all members

We do not delete Fluff. That would only make the members angry. But we do try to educate. To point out that Fluff is not reasonable.

Some people but not all don't even know they're being fluff like. They haven't been educated in magical means and instead follow with what they see in the movies, etc. As said before me, leaving the "fluff" helps to educate those that have not yet learned the difference between what is fluff and what is not.

As mentioned above some people are utterly ignorant and do not know any better, but as for the ones which insist after we continuously have told them that; "No you cannot turn into a mythological creature" and they keep saying they can they're what is known as trolls and role-players.

Most are genuially unaware that magic does have it's limitations and is not like hollywood has potrayed it to be.

They're playing, they think we're playing, and they want us all to play along.

Or since magic isn't proven to be real or true, maybe they think people who believe that simply don't deserve honesty if we won't (to them) even take the truth or care about the truth, which is what honesty generally relies on.

Or, it can be used to manipulate people. If you can make it out that you're so special and powerful, and the other person takes it in good faith, then you can have somebody to fluff up your narcissistic ego (I mean "you" as in, in general. Not you, Vamp_lord specifically).

Because some honest people can still come to fluffy conclusions (see pop culture paganism) I also think that discussion rather than censorship is the best solution. Someone came on speaking perfect English and claiming to be a Japanese grim reaper as punishment for suicide? Hey, if they're dead, then how are they typing on what computer and who pays for their internet connection?

A long while back there was someone who made multiple accounts claiming to be the daughter of Satan and living in Hell, and I thought if I just ignored it then she would get bored and go somewhere else (if everybody else had the sense to ignore it.) Then it turned out that she'd began verbally abusing another member who then almost committed suicide…only because verbal abuse was very "in character". She turned out to be practicing her fiction writing skills, which I don't think is fair because if you really want to improve fiction writing skills, then you should go to people who know that it is fiction, so they can target character development or grammar or something! So I really think she just did that for an ego boost, at the expense of other members who came here to take spiritual experiences in good faith.

And that really hurt because I'm a bard. Storytelling is my religion, it is my way of doing magic, it might not be capital-t true like a science but I do my best all the time to be honest ...so to see the imagination used for lies and abuse just really grates on my nerves.

As long as the posts don't break the rules we have no reason to delete them. Rather they become good opportunities to educate, not only the poster, but others who might read the thread.

On the other hand, if the threads stray into role-playing then they are in violation of site rules and they will then be removed.

it can get annoying, sometimes insulting, but as its been said it could be a learning opportunity. you can't win them all, try your best to help, and ignore whatever negativity may come as a result.

Many people as newbies, think magic is like charmed, or twilight. In reality, it's not.

Everyone matures within time. When i first found, this, site? I was 10, i wanted to be a fairie, vampire. Oh boy!

Looking back, the people were patient and guided me, and now here i am.

It's usually a learning lesson. I mean, haven't you posted fluff? I bet!

Everyone starts somewhere, we've been told for years, from family that magic can change you. Claiming to do witchcraft like ''Every Witch Way''.

is it really fair to just dismiss other people beliefs as "fluff", ok the rally outrages stuff like blowing up the moon with magic is fluff but when people say something like how do I speak with fairies you should tell them to look into faery wicca calling someone's beliefs fluff can be seen as insensitive and rude
