It has been shown (by brain scans) that we spend very little time on dreams during sleep; only in very "light" sleep. Dreams can be detected by REM (Rapid Eye Movement), Dreams also "switch".The dream may be about a boy,it changes to a man, changes then to a girl, changes to a woman; and other such dreams. It is the brain going a bit "haywire", and would seem like a lot of dreams when it is actually the same dream. Nobody dreams in "deep sleep". However, if something keeps waking you from "deep" sleep, and you then "drift off" again, you may very well have other dreams in your "light" sleep. I wouldn't worry too much; dreams are good for you! Even the frightening ones! They are your subconscious brain "sorting things out".

The above is misleading.

Night terrors occur during very deep (the deepest) stages of sleep, which is why people wake up screaming or crying and don't know why.

Everybody dreams every night, but not everybody remembers their dreams. That is not smth unusual or special - you are living normal life.
