I am new here and looking for some information. I have several questions, but would like to start with a simple question first. Can another person cast a success or love spell for someone else?

Thank you for any answers.

Thank you for the information. From what I have read it is best that at this time that I do not cast a spell even for myself. There is someone who understands me and loves me for who I am. He is at the point of making a decision and I would like him to chose me. I was thinking that a success spell would be best in this situation. I am not confident in casting this type of spell.

Yes and due to the peculiarities of power and how it corrupts and the ravishes of the consequences that spell casters can come up again, doing a selfless act - such as casting a general 'may thee find love soon' type spell actually gets more traction if done in the favor of someone else than for self.

Greed isn't need, and need gets more than greed - well greed gets more but its usually bad stuff. Humans are, by their very nature, prone to get greedy, thus anytime we cast something for self, we tend to try to get just a little bit more... Greed.

Passions mastery, understanding your nature, understanding and taking steps to not just ask for a 'wee bit more' with that spell - well that is all part of the process of learning self to learn magic.

It used to be that 'good' witches (not good as in well behaved, but good as in having ability and wisdom) took the route of not charging for the spell craft. Materials in crafting, yes - getting paid to do the spell - no. Of course they would accept a gift if the person being served felt so inclined.

That sort of 'economics' has impact on spell efficiency, meaning that the chance of the gotten gain being the underlying intent, thus spoiling the broth, the intent remained as 'pure' and selfless as possible, giving the spell more power, a greater chance of success, etc.

Word on love spells. Love is a very, very greedy emotion. Its all about self and about fulling ones needs - sure humans dress it up and make it all about you, but love is about 'me' and what 'I' get from it...

As such there are a lot of not so nice love spells out there, one that do attempt to directly influence the will and destiny of intended victims of a person's passion. This is a form of dark magic - what the mundane would call black magic, which I call practical magic. It is greed magic and it never ends well.

Steer clear of them and your world will be far nicer to live in.
