Ritual gear

Would any of you fine people know how to make a ritual robe and/or altar cloth? I like to make my own tools. In exchange I will post a thread up on how to make a staff, after I've made mine of course. Any patterns or suggestions would be nice. Thank you in advance! :D

gyah! just hit a button and everything was deleted. k, started over with less detail. ceremonial robes typically are black trimmed with whatever colour the season or holiday is associated with. they're loose and long, like dresses with big wide sleeves, some with hoods. off the top of my head, you should measure yourself from your shoulder to your feet [if you want it to cover your feet, add an inch] then hem the bottom. cut a hole for the arms and neck [hem the neck line] measure the length of your arms [shoulder to finger tip and around] hem the bottom of the sleeve, then sew the two length sides together. if you want it tight at the top and baggy at the bottom of the sleve, cut the fabric so it looks almost cone shaped. turn it inside out [so the extra fabric you sewed isn't sticking out] and sew it into the sleve holes. that's the tricky part, either have the sleeve a little longer, or have extra fabric from the shoulder, otherwise it won't fit right, and sew it together so the extra fabric from the sleve is below the shoulder fabric.

that should be it. sorry that's confusing, i'm better wish visuals, and i sew by hand without using actual measurements, so hopefully you understood basically what i meant.
