Is Christian Day a witch?

I have often read that a witch, rather female or male, is still referred to as a witch. Yet Christian Day, perhaps one of Salem's most famous witches refers to himself as a warlock. Now I honestly don't know what type of magic he practices or if he is a chaos magician but whatever he is he refers to himself as a "warlock". Now my question is, if he refers to himself as a warlock does that mean he's a hoax?

I honestly don think the name maters. J believe it to be a personal thing, whether you be a witch, warlock, or anything else. It's all whatever you believe it to be.

Warlock is a higher powered male witch (Seems like it anyway based off what i read) and chaos magician sounds weird and fake because magician i think of a man sawing a woman in half and holding cards

Chaos magician is a new found word. You use all types of magic from different paths. Google it.

Your definition of a chaos magician sound a lot like what an ecclectic witch is. A witch who takes from different paths, magicks, religions, beliefs, etc and does this and that from whichever he or she chooses to do. Basically a witch who practiced bits and pieces of multiple paths. Asmnd as for the warlock, they are real. The only hoax would be if some one faked it all, was roleplaying. And a warlock is some one who has betrayed his coven. Looking back at the definition of warlock it means betrayer, oath breaker. That was what warlocks were known as for a very long time. Then when the new age stuff starting happening, the definition became any male practitioner of magick or high power male magick practitioner. Personally I still see a warlock as a statues of betrayal. But if some one wants to call them selves a warlock they can. A little warning that not every one will take that well.

Warlock is a word for "Traitor" and other offensive titles. I believe he would still be considered a Witch. Magicians are people who provide magic as entertainment/do it freely in public.

Chaos magick is using the chaos theories in your magick, it is a path of its own. If you are a Chaos magician you would know who Peter Carroll is, the creator of this path and theory. And Austin Spare, Carroll's influencement. Look up Liber Null and Psychonaut. This is Chaos Magick. You are an ecclectic.

And as for this person calling himself a warlock, perhaps he just wants to be rebellious and is making a statement that he has no loyalties.

I'm an eclectic even though I don't believe in most of what I use?
At least not the religious part. I just use it because it works? Forgive me but from what I've read a chaos magician is a witch that envelops the Psyche of a believer momentarily to achieve their means through magic. Somewhat like method acting.
