Beginner here!

Hi guys, my name is Kim and I'm from the UK!

I'm a beginner to magic and witchcraft so I need some help shopping for the first time.

I have around $75 (£50) to spend and would like to get as many items and ingrediants as I can. If you could also expain the items that would be great too. :) What would even be better if you could help compile a list of what I could get with my money? Of course I'm not asking you to choose a specific item, but if you tell me what I need, I'll have a look and select one myself. All I would like is to get the most out of my money, and that I'm not short when it comes to creating spells or lacking ingrediants.

Tonight I will be starting to learn how to meditate.

Any tips and advice will be much appreciated.

Start easy and don't buy too much at once. Some things may spoil. Meditating is great. Since you have a lot of passion, i'm sure you'll do wonderfully. any questions just mail me.

Many people like to use incense and sage on a regular basis for cleansing, meditation and a variety of other things. Those are both fairly cheap. Tools can often be substituted with household items. Candles are a good thing to have in supply. White taper are good because they can be used to substitute other colors for many workings. Other then that I would say it depends on what you plan on doing, and what you like to use. Blessings on your path :)

As for help on meditation, you could search the forums for information. Anything that can help you relax and calm your mind can help. There are guided meditation videos on youtube using music. Aromatherapy helps some. I feel it is best to learn in a quiet environment while sitting, or even relaxing in a bath.

when you start out it's always tempting to buy all the latest and greatest. really, you should by a book for beginners, i suggest Wicca for Life by Raymond Buckland. after that, you should get things as you go on, your tools should call to you, when you see them you should think 'this is right for me'

in terms of must have tools, candles and incents are easy to get, and cheep, but an athame or wand. personally i'm more connected with my athame so i'd go for that, since you can make your wand. if you want herbs and crystals and other ingredience for spells, it doesn't matter much, dried last longer, and it comes down to what you want to be casting. for crystals, quarts is most common. herb wise vervain off the top of my head. most things like dandilion are common enough and it's best to harvest your own herbs anyway. try buying herbs and starting an herb garden, i've had a small one, but it died a long time ago, so i'm starting a new one this year.

Start with oils they never expire so that's helpful to start with stuff you can use next year or ten years from now then from there buy as you need

If I had that much money to blow on begginer suplies, id get 1.Medium sized candles of every color. 2.Each kind of incense from a "mix and match" incesne stand. 3.A book or two on magic/spells/spirits/energy/elements/sstones...ect... 4.One item of a random sort to use as an alter item, something personal that cannot expire, such as a ring. Then again, going to a rocky area and picking up a prety stone would be just as good as #4. Well there ya go, what macncheez would do in ur situation:) lol
