Magical Items(Here)

Hi grg here and I would like to list some magical items to help people.Well these are some of my favorite items:P.
*Dream catcher:A dream catcher is used to help get rid of bad dreams and negative energys around you.The people who made the first one was Early Indains too.

*Candles:Candles are used to varify the type of energy your putting into a spell.Candle types:
Pink-Soft love
Red-Strong love/Health/Fire
Yellow-Protection/Spiritual/Spirit
Green-Money/Luck/Life/Wish
Purple-Trick/Illusions/Wish/Spirit
Gray-Weather/Air
Blue-Water
Brown-Earth
Gold-Money
White-Plain love/Wish/All spells
Black-Bad luck/Spiritual/Banishing/Summoning/etc.

*Broom:A broom is a very mis-understood topic. In fiction it means to fly,but it real life it means protection. You can put it above your door,on your wall, etc to protect you.

*Wand:A wand is any stick on the ground or in a tree.Just like a broom it protects you.A wand is also good for air magick too!

*Book of Shadows:A Book of Shadows is a spellbook someone writes spells, information, experience, etc in.You can bless it too.It doesn't have to be like a normal spellbook.Be creative and make it your own.

NOTE:This was made with no background sources.I made this by my mind and heart.

Bless be-grg.

Just want to comment on the dreamcatcher. I make them fairly regularly and know about them (history use etc) being in the land of the anishinabeg and being part anishinabe myself I want to clear something up. They should be made of a red willow branch and sinew tied in a specific way with a feather coming down from the mid point (the hole). There are other ways and things to use but that's the most effective way. However, they are made from breakable objects from nature specifically because with time they will dry out and fall apart. The reason is because they are supposed to be to protect children (a traditional birth gift to a newborn) from nightmares they can't understand.

When they break apart as the child gets older they are not replaced because the child is then old enough to ask and understand the meaning of a dream even a nightmare. This is important because all dreams can and do help guide us... even those that are initially very terrifying and we should not seek to neglect the reception of such a gift.

That being said in rare circumstances I have made and gifted dreamcatchers to adults who were unduly plagued by nightmares and demonic type attacks. With the understanding that it was temporary while they fixed the particular situation.

Well you are certainly free to add your own intent. The point simply being that as a "dreamcatcher" they block out potentially helpful nightmares if your old enough to understand your dreams. Remember though when dealing with native shamanistic tool (in this case the midewiiwin of the anishinabeg people) you are dealing with particular spirits and ancestors and things that have a particular purpose. Misusing things can piss off the manitou and cause serious harm (hence the propensity for non-natives to accidentally misuse sweat lodges and become ill or die). Respecting the spirits is incredibly important.

Good post, grg. Looks like you have a good list to start with. Keep working at it.

To you others, remember, to each their own.

To each their own is well and good. I tend to agree but its important to note that when a particular ritual object has a long standing particular use misusing is invites harm (or in the case of the dream catcher blocks out helpful negative dreams thereby creating ignorance). Its like using an athame to stab someone... misusing something invites harm.
