Celebrating Early?
By: / Beginner
So, on Samhain I have school, (WTF? We can take of Christian holidays, and not Wiccan?) and I have to go trick-or-treating with my younger siblings. So, would it be okay to celebrate on the 30th? I know it technically starts the night before, but people always seem to celebrate on the 31st. Thoughts?

I would personally celebrate it on the 31st but I wanna know how are you planning to celebrate this special day?

In the old times people would dress up in costumes on the Eve of All Hallows (Samhain), and dance around fires. so maybe you could make trick-or-treating some sort of celebration if you make it an enjoyable time. There are hundreds of different ways to celebrate our holidays. And maybe if your parents would allow you, you could skip school the day of Samhain

I live with my mom, who's strictly Christian, so that's a no-no. So I'm still not sure what I should do :/ It makes me sad I'll have to miss out on such a powerful, strong, and enjoyable evening :/
