im looking for a person to be my mentor who has been in magic for 5+ years. i dont want somebody who just actslike they know what there talking about. i want somebody who will teach me about both black and light magic and who will show me the ways of a wicca. the spells i wanna work up to will probaly be black but i wanna stick with light as long as i can so if you will be willing io be my mentor u have to stick with it and not ditch me. im noit joining a covanint get over it. im nice, im a guy, aqnd i want to learn the things that will make me a true wicca or whatever. i do not beleve in god and im sorta into satinism but i wanna get outa it so i wanna be a wiccen. please be fast. i have little paitence(:
try learning your self as angie_gena says the best teacher is your self or something like that when i started i didnt have a mentor plus how can you be sure wicca is for you if you dont know what it is
Wicca has a Goddess and as such requires much patients and faith. Wicca is a RELIGION and is pretty new. Before you even start asking for a mentor you should know EXACTLY what you are getting into. I would atleast look at a book about it before you start requesting people to teach you. Now go learn patients or nobody on this site will want to stand you.
Before you start asking someone to mentor you in Wicca I think it is important that you understand exactly what Wicca is. While Wiccans do engage in magical practices, doing spellwork is not a particularly important part of what they do. Wicca is first and foremost a religion that recognizes the Divine in both male and female form...God and Goddess in other words. Nor do Wiccan engage in Satanism in any of its forms. Wiccans also avoid baneful magic unless absolutely necessary, nor do they engage in magic which is against the will of another except when necessary. Wicca is also something one does not learn over night. It is a lifelong journey of spiritual discovery. Heck, I've been doing this for over 30 years and I'm still learning every day. So I'm thinking that maybe you need to do a bit more soul-searching before you decide that you really want to be Wiccan.
