Powerful Books

I've been making a few notes about books with some degree of energy in them. Since my mentor said that the best way of conducting a research is by getting data from real-life events, I've decided to ask you all if any of you ever found such objects before, and, even better, relate your experiences while reading them. Thank you very much and I look forward to share my findings with you.

I find that books that hold meaning to you seem to carry more of a charge. I have run across (very occasionally) a book that was designed to perpetuate a thoughtform. Those books have an odd sense of energy, and I don't find them to be as pleasent as others.

Books with pieces written by channeled beings (as claimed by the author) seem to hold their own sort of reverential sections as well.

Well, out of my personal experiences I can say DO NOT READ THE NECRONOMICON, NO MATTER IF IT'S A CHEAP COPY OR OTHERWISE. If you do, then I've warned you.

Actually, it's a very sad story. Some while ago I had this megalomaniac approach to magic, considering myself to be the next Big Mage. Unfortunately, my search for "power" ended up leading it to a copy of The Necronomicon. As I read it, I felt sicker and sicker, to the point of getting very close to a catastrophe. My life also piratically fell apart: I lost my friends, I screwed up big time with my family, lol even my dog started hating me. It took me an entire year to fix things. Thankfully, I now follow a much more peaceful way to knowledge.

I believe there was a book meant to be a thoughtform, as flagg mentioned, Grant Morrison's The Invisibles.

Comic book actually :P

Not to double post, but a book by Barbara Marciniak was supposedly channeled from the pleiadians. My copy of this book does seem to hold its own peculiar energy.

I have a copy of The Necronomicon. Nothing has ever happened to me like that, and I've read most of it....but I've never used the information found inside.

Could it have been your attitude and approach to life that led you to that situation instead of it being the book's fault?
