I am the oldest of 3 in a Christian family. My father is the church's priest, my mother is the church pianist. As you can imagine, they are strict Christian. I am extremely afraid of them knowing I practice witchcraft. I want them to know, but I also don't want them to know. I'm not sure what to do, so I'm open for suggestions. I'm just confused.

Honestly, I wouldn't tell them that you practice until you are old enough to move out on your own. If you feel that your mother may be understanding, you can bring magick in a general way to see her opinion on the subject, and if she is understanding, you can slowly introduce to her your interested. But you are the best at determining if your parents will attempt to forbid you from studying the craft. That could make things worse because they'll be watching for it.

As a parent, I don't like promoting hiding things from parents. But as a realist and having had a controling parent myself, I know that parents can be very anal.

Thanks, but my mother is as strict as my father, thus I must reluctantly keep it a secret.

I healed my mum with magick, when she was asleep, she has been very feverish, but after the spell, when she woke up is said it was a miracle

This is sort of where the term book of shadows is applied, the fear of being persecuted and ridiculed for your beliefs and the consequences that follow. I am very sorry, I had a split family regarding religion. I was raised Irish Catholic by my mother then IU found out that alot of my family were witches and practiced the craft. My mother and I had a complicated relationship due to this, she even burned several hand made copies of my BOS, each time having to start over. Believe me it's hard. I empathize with you dearly and wish you the best of luck, and if you ever need advice or want to talk about it, just mail me if you'd like.

Blessings

~Illy

I wouldn't tell your parents if I were you. My Dad is Christian and is very religious. If I told him he would yell at me and probably try to fix me like he does everyone else. I told my Mom that I believe in Wicca right off the bat but, she only buys me my books under the condition that I'm not serious about this stuff so I'm constantly having to lie to her. It's so weird, she says everyone has the right to believe what they want yet she doesn't want me to believe in what I believe. She keeps making all these general comments that are so far from the truth and if she would just pick up The Teen Witch By, Silver Ravenwolf she would get that I'm not doing anything evil or trying to hurt people.
