Sacrifices
By:
I recently found myself some deities I really like and I know a common way to sacrifice to them are burning whatever you want to sacrifice, but are there other ways to sacrifice to them? My family doesn't know I do magic so burning things would be very hard to do without them finding out. In addition to that I don't own a cauldron so I wouldn't be able to safely burn anything.

If you have a fire pit outside your home you could use that.

Many make offerings in many ways without burning. Some put them on an alter, some have places outside their home for which to communicate and leave offerings. Some burry them. Finding what works for you and your relationship with those entities is best.

I agree with Sparrow.

If it is possible, you could also burn a small portion of the offering before leaving it outside. Depending the religion the deities come from, eating the offering would be acceptable (I would suggest this especially with food stuffs that are poisonous to animals/dogs such as chocolate and grapes).

You can also just give water or other liquids, then pour it out. If you are keeping a shrine, refreshing the drink everyday is a devotional activity. Then there is also writing poems and prayers to them as well.

well most [if not all] modern pagans don't sacrifice living things anymore, it's symbolic. so i would throw offering s into a fire pit or fireproof bowl/cauldron [i use an old pot] the energy from the item will be sent to the deity in question [you can also use certain wood and herbs to make the fire 'holy'] many people have figured out various ways to give offerings to deities whom normally received living sacrifices, like stuffed animals or donating blood.
