Moon phases

Hi everyone,
I live in Australia and am trying to get my head around the different moons and events (such as equinox). The issue I keep running into is that everything I find is in American seasons. Is there a site (or book) which will give me dates etc under Australia's seasons? I am also wondering if there is a preferred site for all the moon dates for the year, eg. Full moon etc and what the moon's are for.
Thank you.

hello
Not sure of a website but I have a brilliant app called, er, moon free? I'll have to double check that heh my phone is at home.
Anyway it sends you notifications of full and crescent and new moons on your time zone.
As for what the moon phases mean, that depends on your belief.
For example:
1. They mean that the sun is shining on the moon hiding parts of it and that the moons position means you can only see parts of it.
2. The sun is chasing the moon.
3. It represents the phases of the 3 moon goddesses, artemis, hekate and hera, vergin something and mother... I think
4. Artemis's moon chariet directs the moon and its brightness is based on her mood.
shrug. What ever you like rofl hope this helps a bit

Luna, the dates are the same in the Southern Hemisphere except the seasons are swapped: summer for winter, autumn for spring.

You're on the same earth with the same axis.
