Hello, I am seeking a mentor. Preferably a priest or priestess. I do not know much of wicca due to the fact my mentor died before passing her knowledge to me.

I don't know much about this mentor thing, but you don't need a mentor to learn the ways of Wicca, but if you really want a mentor I hope you find one.
Hi Mbrennan while some people do actually get thought by those whom have a relative knowledge in wicca you can also help yourself out a bit in the meantime you wait for a mentor to teach you.I understand that its better to be taught by someone whom has done it all before and that is the practices in some places in which they hand down their teachings but these days there are many books you can read and people on this site you can generally look to for some guidance.All you need to do is ask whom ever who is knowledge or experience in the topic at hand,post on the forums and you will get an answer.While a teacher will help you find your way it is up to you and you alone to decide your path.
Also if you are looking for a teacher you need to state specifics in what you are interested in learning.You can also try joining a coven on the site and looking through the many articles on this site.
i'd join a coven. few people take on students, but a good coven is there to help you learn and grow. find a coven that speaks to you and join it. you should learn what you need from them. books is another thing to try if you're wiccan, books by Raymond Buckand or Scott Cunningham would be a good choice. Wicca for life by Buckand or Wicca a guide for the solitary practitioner by Cunningham are good choices. you can also look at google books if you can't buy the books for whatever reason. they have a lot of books uploaded for free.
while a teacher is good when you're starting out, eventually you'll probably branch out from your teacher. we're all different, so your beliefs will most likely differ from your mentors at some point.
