Driftwood for a wand?

I was out for a walk on the beach today and I picked up a piece of driftwood. I like the feel of it in my hand and the weight is nice. Which leads me to my question; would it be appropriate to use this as the basis for a wand?

You can use all which feels right to you .I love to use round shaped stones from the sea in my magic and for decoration ,so i do not see any reason why not using driftwood for wand .It must be infused with the energy and power of the Ocean as stoney. suggested .

I agree with both Stone and Arty. However I have to add that if you by chance happen on anything else that you feel connected to, cherish it and save it, don't toss it without first contemplating it's meaning or purpose. There are many things w are drawn to or are connected to and there's usually a reason and or purpose, may it be to help or aif you in a stask, to remind you of something you have forgotten or lost, or to teach you something you need to learn. However people go about there day walking past things that might have signifigance or meaning, and had they have known or taken a step back to contemplate, ponder, or realize; their journey might have been a bit easier or better off.

Peace be with you, blessings,

The pure aesthetics of driftwood seems to me like it would look like an awesome wand. The last wand I crafted had a very organic/driftwood look to it after I was done with the shaping, and the client thought it was amazing.
