Yule

In 1937 a painting was published. It portrays a jolly fat man, with a white beard, dressed in a red suit. In one hand he holds a bottle, in the other a turkey drum-stick. As we are approaching Yule this image will be in great abundance. It is the modern acceptance for the image of Santa. The original painting was to advertise Coca Cola. From such things are myths born!

and prey tell when did santa have anything to do with yule? Perhaps you should start a blog or something if your going to randomly complain about things which have no correlation to each other. Just a thought

I am not, and was not complaining. All I wrote was that "as Yule approaches" the images of "Santa" will be in every shop window, every department store. Merely stating that it is an image that was first meant to advertise Coca Cola. Only an observation on how myths get started, and then take on as though they are fact. Of course Yule has nothing to do with Christmas or Santa, but the images will still be staring us in the face.
