Christian Wiccan:Troubled

Hello and Blessed Be...for all you Christian Wiccans out there, I am a younger person trying to choose between a Christian or Wiccan faith. I don't want to cross the line and idolize other Gods and Goddesses, but I need help developing what may be considered a comfortable/legit Christian faith with appropriate elements of Wicca involved. What I'm trying to ask is (other than for emotional guidance) what are things in terms of magick that could be deemed as acceptable to the word of God? I am highly struggling on both faiths..I'm too afraid to leave Christianity out of the fear of possibly being wrong. I know this sounds like I should stay in my first faith, but my love and care for both are at a war. I don't know what's right anymore. Please help!! ~Sullenmoon

Why not just accept that you're beliefs do not fit a set religion? Why force your beliefs to mold to a religion you're not 100% agreeing with? Wiccan is not the only way to be a witch. Why limit yourself? Learn every religion! Take for yourself what makes sense to you. Expand your mind and find the connecting "truth" that ties every religion together. You'll be amazed to see how something as simple as cultural views can influence spiritual perspective. But there are universal "truths" present. There is only one spirit world, religion is merely different opinions of it.

Not to be mean but if "God" can't accept all walks of life and accept your opinion and freedom then screw him i don't believe MUCH in God keyword much but i kinda do but i know if he is real he shouldn't care about your free will and what you do but be judged by who you are if your Wiccan or Pagan or Jewish or even Mormon it doesn't matter if you still believe in him he shouldn't judge you (And if you'd like i can take the time to disprove god and how with Wiccan and other things he isn't real if that would help)

(And by the way, the belief of a female and male are merely counterparts of the same Source and in fact many people see pantheons as archetypes or embodiments of various "sides" of the Creator. If you look into Hinduism (I love this concept of theirs) they don't care what deity you worship because they have a firm belief that it is all the Source. So no matter what, you're doing good! Look up the creation story of Hinduism. It's an excellent and inspiring read! I find Christianity one of the most restrictive religions. Most are far more loose, allowing people to have freedom to have individual opinions.

The true Christian faith, based on the bible, does not say you cannot practice magic. If you want to stick with that religion, just remember a few key things from it. The only thing I see being an issue, would be idolizing other gods. This is obviously against the Christian faith, as stated in the ten commandments. Other then that it is not much different from others.

The main issue is that in today's society, people have added in their own interpretations of what is "good" and "evil" in the eyes of the Lord. Just because a pastor at a church says you cant meditate, chant, do spell work etc., it does not mean that is actually part of that religion. I remember when they said that listening to Rock and Roll was worshiping the devil hahaha XD
I actually asked my pastor if he got that information straight from God or not. Blessings to you and I hope you find the answers you seek.

God doesn't judge you all as much as you think like did you know a pope made up the idea of hell and Satan too so both are not real a lot is made up just do what you think god would want you to enjoy life

Thanks everyone. I'm still stuck completely. I'm very lost, but I love the idea of studying many religions to find the Source concept for better comfort and enlightment. I'm asking for possibilities of what the Christian God could accept. Examples are meditation and healing. Idolizing other gods is out and obviously not following the Wiccan Rede goes against Him too.

lol.. most of the Christians who do practice (not only the thoeries) magick have a common denominator.. "that is the twisting of faith." -and again, i said MOST not ALL.. (well "MAYBE" all other religions too, if they would encounter a different faith)

-well, this is just based on my experience thou.. i don't need anyone to believe me here.. i'm just sharing..

blessed be..

I was troubled too,as I am a Christian as well. However with much reading and studying, I have found that they are one in the same. As long as you stay away from black magic(evil) there is nothing wrong with Wicca. Start by reading some of Scott Cunninghams works, then read some of the Christian works. I have Angel Cards that really opened my eyes to all of it. Blessed Be!
