never read it, sorry, but i'm sure you can read it and form your own opinion. have you read other beginners guides on Wicca? my favourite is still Wicca for Life by Raymond Buckland, and of course people swear by Scott Cunninghams two books on the subject [i prefer the second one Living Wicca over his most famous work Wicca: a Guide for the Solitary Practitioner, but that's just me] give it a shot, maybe make some notes [say a question or thought pops into your head while reaching it, you can go back over the notes and research those things]

i've read many books on paganism in general, but only one i walked away from because the author rubbed me the wrong way. i forget the book, but it was about Irish Witchcraft, and as someone of Irish decent [my dads side was raised to be very proud of this fact] i was interested in learning about my ancestors ways, this author made me so made i think i only made it as far as chapter 3. her 'introduction' was really a 3 page rant on people who aren't really Irish and that just rubbed me the wrong way. like i understood her point that you should visit Ireland [i want to one day] but the chapter was about how much she hated people who claimed they were Irish because their parents immigrated from there, or followed Irish deities/paths but never visited the country. my point really is while it's great to learn form others and read all you can't don't go 'well it's in a book and several other people liked it' if it helps you and you can apply what you learned, go for it.

No i have not. I have read some of it but its not good as lark postings i have read. I think the book was just talking about magic not wicca. Its a good book on a few things and explains good on things. Also comes with a few spells which is good because it was mostly infotmation then spells. I'll see if the library have them books.

if you're looking for more spells i recommend Judika Illes, she's written many books on spells and they're really good [99% of the time when someone asks me for a spell i refer to one of her books] my favourite is magic when you need it, but she also has an encyclopedia series thats very helpful [theres one with 5,000 spells, another about spirits, and another on witchcraft]
