Offering Bottles

So the other day (yesterday?) I made a thread asking about witch bottles. Then today I saw a bottle filled with offerings being sold on Etsy (I spend a lot of time there). So I thought it would be cool to make one! Is this an okay thing? To get bottles or jars or vials and fill them with things as an offering to any spirits or gods? Because I thought it was a neat (as in both cool and tidy) way to give offerings. That way you wouldn't clutter your space and you don't have to worry about spillage.

Good idea, can store offering in the bottle until you can leave it in a suitable place and then recycle the bottle for another offering or something.

I think it sounds like a splendid idea, although I don't work with any Gods or Goddesses.

This is something I actually do and talk a lot about doing in my own practice. I call them offering jars. You can buy sealable jars at Walmart or some other such store for a dollar or less. They are small and convenient for traveling. They are also easy to store and hide if you need to. I fill them with things I would normally put on an altar. For instance, I have an offering jar dedicated to Ran: I filled the bottom with sand that I collected from the beach, placed seashells that I hand carved into it and added incense and blue jewels in to top it off. I sit it on a shelf in my room and it's lovely.
