Could you explain this to me?

Since Nidhogg and Fafnir are both "dragons" from Norse tradition (even though Nidhogg is actually more of a serpent and Fafnir was actually a dwarf who was changed into a dragon and killed in a story from the lore). I've never heard it said that Nidhogg is a ruler of ice, nor that Fafnir has any association with fire.

Nifhogg: the dragon that gnaws at the roots of the world tree. Also Nifhogg is distracted by corpses and devours them. Nifhogg's name means corpse eater.

Enchanting, you can learn dragon magick better from a astral dragon than any site there is. Also Nifhogg in my opinion nt a dragon he's a rokkr deity. A dragon and a deity are two different peoples completely. This is my thought on the subject.

If this is from DJ Conway, I don't have much faith in the correlations between the dragons and the elements (as DJ Conway is famous in the Heathen community for making a book called Norse Magics, in which she attempted to mesh Norse concepts into Wicca and all around failed). Fafnir really has no association to fire, and Nidhogg really has no association to ice as far as I'm aware. It just seemed a little odd to me. Hence why I was asking someone to explain it. The links provided don't do that.

Niflhogg's name means corpse eater. She has no assosiation with ice. Judging from what I know about dragons Niflhogg is sometimes considered a earth dragon. No way is she associated with ice. Also ice isn't a element. The four main elements are earth, fire, water, and air. This however depends on what you believe. I believe there are other smaller elements like chaos, and spirit for example.
