You can't just jump into casting spells because with out knowing how magick works and why it works you wont get anywhere but you need to work on the basics first then give it
try.

Learn how to cast a circle then just do some rituals first like make some holy water or something, then when you feel comfortable do spells. Anything that looks easy to do shouldn't have any negative affects as long as you have good intentions and believe in it.

A newbie should not be doing spells right off the bat. Spells are dangerous, and you need to make sure you know exactly what you are doing and why you are doing it before attempting a spell.
Besides, the ratio of real, legitimate spells on this site to fluffy nonsense is an astounding 1 to 100. I suggest you invest in some books first.
True Magick by Amber K is a good book for beginners, and Pure Magic by Judika Illes is good as well. They also have little spells and rituals near the back for you to attempt after you have read the books.

Ey I am also new and are interested in spel casting but as written above its dangerous when u don't know what u r doing. My biggest interest is opening my third eye. I have done all that is advised on the sight and had a teribble headace for about a week but still nothing as far as I can pic up. I can slightly see aura's. Is this a good sign? How will I know that I am fully ready to read aura's?

I would say don't overstarin yourself or force anything to happen, all in due time. Overall circulation of energ is where mot people start, there are practices of shiftings ones focus around th ebod and in turn the energy body.

Getting the kundalini energy stirring and moving will in turn open the chakras, the chakras should be balanced and opened equally one by one in my opinion.

There are countless ways one can accomplish this, if you search for fragrantheart.com they have some good chakra meditations on there. Other than that I would recommend asana work and pranayama.
