Alchemy is the breakdown and reconstruction of matter. Pure life energy is fused with physical materials. The physical and astral planes are.brought together.

Basically alchemy is the transmutation of one material into another using the principles of Hermetic beliefs in the process. Typically for the goal of turning an item of low value into one of a high value (such as changing iron into gold).

Today most practices of Alchemy have evolved into chemistry as our understanding of various compounds and elements increased and some of the wilder beliefs used by practitioners were faded out.

Real alchemy is the mish mosh combination of life, body, chemistry, philosophy, and rituals. You take one thing and use special techneaks to turn it into something else. Some things scienc dosnt recognise as real but are quite tangable. England has a library (very hard to finde and I don't remember the location) that has thousands of alchemists notes and books. Some work some don't. It really is intiresting an will truly delve deeper into it when I am older.

The library is The British Central Library, and is in London. It is very easy to find!
A good place to start with reading about Alchemy would be to read the life of Sir Isaac Newton, a very famous Alchemist.
