So I've been practicing witchcraft for a few months now, still fairly new at it, and I am very happy to be a new witch. However, I don't know if I have even began in the right places. I know all the basics and what not, and after I've searched through all the sources I could find on them, they all say the same thing. Is it normal to just learn the basics and set out on your own, not really knowing what's next? I've made a few of my own spells, filled up quite a bit of my book of shadows, but where do I go to learn more about the craft?

Research different paths. Learn about different pantheons. Practice your basics every day. Learn new things as often as you can. The basics are a stepping stone. They get you started but it is you who must continue on the path. There is no set way to go until you put your feet on your path.

Study study study. I have been on my own from the beginning. Some of us just work better that way and prefer to do so.
