That's not true. Asian people do know about these things. I'm asian and I know others who know about Witchcraft and Pagans :)

Maybe because Witchcraft and Paganism comes from Europe while a lot of Asian people come from... you guessed it, Asia.

-_-

If you examine things like Taoism, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shintoism, you'll find a lot of similarities.

Oh, and karma, chakras, reincarnation, etc. which are all celebrated these days as part of witchcraft, new age paganism and other such traditions? Those actually come from the Asian subcontinent of India. They have very, very little to do with the original traditions of witchcraft and paganism.

Educate yourself before stereotyping an entire race.

I'm asian too~ And I'm not being mean~ It's just that I've been asking a lot of people if they know what's Pagan, Witchcraft and so on~ The answer I get is : "What? What's that?" Maybe some other asian do know about it~ But I'm sure that my area don't know anything about it~ >< Sorry if I offended anyone~

I personally see paganism and new age religions as more of an umbrella term.

Ah, I didn't see that you were from Malaysia.

Well, there you have it. Witchcraft is a European term, stemming from saxon/germanic language. Pagan, similarly, is a term stemming from the European Christian terminology used to refer to anyone who is not Christian.

If you refer to your country's folk terminology for someone who is wise, practices magic, or uses curses, you'd likely get more responses.

I am asian. People know about witchcraft but the "fairytale" kind. I think it is because we do not get lots of pagans in this place. In the Philippines most of us are christians actually, not very many people coming across pagans that often in the Philippines. By the way, if you didn't know The Philippines is in Asia
