Godess Isis Spell

This spell has been going around the internet for quite some time. I recently got into magic a couple months ago and a friend presented this spell to me:

"You should only do this spell if you want one of the partners in the couple to return to you. Mother Isis will not break up a marriage for spite - only for love. Also, don’t do this spell unless you’ are willing to dedicate a few minutes of your time each and every month. No excuses. Don’t expect the gods to help you if you won’t help yourself. With that said, here’s the spell:

On the night of a full moon, get a chicken heart, which you can buy in grocery stores. You don’t have to kill a chicken yourself (though you can if you want).

On a piece of paper, draw two stick figures - one of the man and one of the woman you want to break up. Write their full names under each figure. Then take some scissors and cut them apart,

Carry the two stick figure papers outside with you and dig a hole in the ground big enough to hold the chicken heart. Next, place the chicken heart in the hole and look at the moon. Take the stick figure of the person you love and hold it next to your heart and take the other stick figure and light it with a match while saying:

The one I burn go away, go away (person’s full name ).
The one I don’t burn I hold next to my heart.
Stay with me (person’s full name) till death do us part .
Oh, Mother Isis, grant me my wish for my soul mate and me.
After you make your wish, cover the chicken heart with the dirt and say:

Thank you, Mother Isis, my name is ( your full name ).
Thank you for granting my wish.

Then go inside and put your love’s stick figure paper into a white envelope and store it in a wooden box. You must keep the box of stick figure papers for as long as you do the spell even after you have the man or woman you want. If you ever decide that you don’t want your lover anymore, stop doing the spell and burn all the papers you have.

If the couple is not married, it shouldn’t take more than a couple of months before you see results. If the couple is married, it depends on exactly how happily married they are, but it will work eventually as long as you keep doing the spell every month on the full moon.

The only catch to this spell is that even after you have the man or woman you want, you still have to keep doing the spell. For every month you forget to renew the spell , they will think more and more about going back to their former lover, so don’t ever forget."

We both had an interesting topic regarding the spell, and it did raise a few questions:

Would you still have to keep doing this even after the person you kept away using the spell has passed on? I mean if you forget to cast the spell once month and your lover starts thinking about returning to his/her ex, what would he/she think about going to if her/his ex passed on? Can the person who casted the spell stop worrying about casting it monthly?

Will a strong love binding spell prevent the lover in question from experiencing the side effects of forgetting to cast the spell?

Can this spell be used in combination with other spells to maximize/negate certain effects of the spell?

These were the questions I thought about when this spell was presented to me. I hope you can help. I'm fairly new to magic and I figure you guys can better help me with this.

First, I have to ask what you know of magic. Are you a true beginner, in look of a quick-fix such as a love spell ?

Do you understand the basics of magic? Do you actually want to understand magic? Or are you just looking to do a spell, have it work, and it be done?

If you want to know more than the quick-fix, use this oppurtunity to learn more about magic and understand what it really is and how to really use it. If not, you can go ahead and do whatever you like. If you believe this spell will work whole-heartedly, it will, whether you understand it, or it's repercussions fully.

Why Isis and not some other Egyptian or otherwise goddess? Or god even?

Isis is one of the many goddesses of marriage, if you are searching for a breaking someone up and binding someone else to your will (aka to love you) spell, you should be calling upon Hathor instead, because she is the goddess of love, sex, drugs, parties, etc, aka a goddess who would be more willing to break up a marriage so you can get what you want.

Notice I say more willing, than she will do it.

Another Egyptian goddess (while not fully Egyptian) you can go to for this kind of help would be Qadesh. She is also about the more...lustful activities, which is what this type of spell would truly be filed under seeing as you don't love the other person enough to want them happy. ;)

Why would you have to do this spell each month if it was casted correctly? A real powerful "spell" would be to do create your own personal ritual or spell with the intention to bind a lover to you, a lover that technically belongs to someone else, and will return to that person and their true personality eventually.

Do you understand how or why any of the particular steps and tools are being used?

If not, I suggest doing some research, as Isis may not be so willing to have a chicken heart used in a ritual evoking her. Personally, this all sounds less Coptic (ancient Egyptian) by the minute, and I know quite a bit about it through my years of research.

Why are you considering doing this spell?

Is this for personal reasons of some sort? Perhaps you want to feel loved, or you are lusting after someone. I suggest taking a few weeks (especially if you are young) before you do anything. I say this out of the fact that many young people fall in and out of "love" in a matter of weeks, I know I certainly did.

Do you know the meaning of soulmate?

If someone is your soulmate, then they will come into your life eventually, whether you try to force them there or not. Forcing a relationship doesn't go well, again, this comes from personal experience.

Do you understand the side effects?

It's not real love you are asking for. It's someone leaving the one they care about (or are messing around with) and coming to you and forcing them to care about you. It's about as futile as marrying a gay guy, neither one of you will enjoy the relationship because the "love" between you is false.

Do you understand the repercussions of adding more energy into the mix?

It could backfire to begin with; from my experience, it most certainly will, regardless of who you call down or what tools you use. Adding more energy to the mix is like adding new unknown and unmarked ingredients to a pot of soup: A) you don't know if what you are adding is safe to eat, B) you don't know what will happen once you add it, and C) you don't know how much you can add until it boils over.

Take a bit of what I've asked and said into consideration because it may be of some use to you. But I'm all for you trying it yourself if you'd like. ^_^

I fully agree with you Khaos word for word. (Although I have never done a love spell myself nor do I ever plan to)

If there was a possible button to like what you said then I would most definitely have clicked it.

Now pray tell, why are you marked as a beginner when you clearly know what you are talking about? ;)

My point has been proven.

To answer your questions:

"Would you still have to keep doing this even after the person you kept away using the spell has passed on? I mean if you forget to cast the spell once month and your lover starts thinking about returning to his/her ex, what would he/she think about going to if her/his ex passed on? Can the person who casted the spell stop worrying about casting it monthly?"

Only sloppy practitioners forget to keep up their spellwork. With workings like this, yes, you have to keep feeding them energy. Your loved one is not returning to you on their own free will, so you have to magically keep them there, so to speak.

Once your lover returns, then i would suggest a different type of spell altogether - a Love Stay With Me-type of working, a honey jar spell, etc. Magic is just energy, so it fizzles out over time. You would need to keep feeding your goal regularly, and probably more often than just once a month, if and until your lover decides to stay with you on merit of the strength of the relationship alone.

"Will a strong love binding spell prevent the lover in question from experiencing the side effects of forgetting to cast the spell?"

I don't know what you're asking here. A strong love binding (which this spell is not; this is a simple and bizarre return-to-me-type spell with poor ol' Isis thrown in for some odd reason) would keep the lover from wandering back to the ex once they return. That's what some people do who choose this work. They do reconciliation spellwork/ return to me work, get their lover back (if they are successful), and then they move on to phase two which is then keeping their lover - there are various spells to bind a person to you or spells that are a bit more gentle like a honey jar, which works to sweeten the relationship.

"Can this spell be used in combination with other spells to maximize/negate certain effects of the spell?"

It depends - as long as the spells compliment each other and work toward the same goal, i don't see why not. For instance, you could do spellwork to break them up, spell work to heighten communication between you and your target, and spellwork on yourself to make you a more desireable partner to return to.

As a warning: There is a tendency, though, in this type of spellwork for the caster to become obsessive - casting many spells over and over trying to return a recalcitrant lover, unable themselves to let go of the relationship. As long as you keep yourself in check, then regular spellwork toward the same goal should be okay. I would set a hard and fast time limit, saying you're only going to do magic to get your lover back for x amount of time and if they're not back by then, then it's tome to move on.

This is an odd spell, to be honest. I'm not sure why Isis is involved. If you don't have an affinity with the goddess, then i'd use a deity you have a relationship with.

I'm also not sure why the chicken heart is used. Are chicken hearts traditional payment for Isis? I thought the spell was going to instruct you to mix the current lover stick figure drawing with the chicken heart and bury them together, so their love would rot along with the chicken heart - that would make more sense. Honestly, there are so many more break-up and reconciliation spells out there. Unless this one speaks to you, i'd go for one that's far more traditional, that people have been using for centuries - just my two cents.

No LdyGry, chicken hearts are not special to Isis. Chickens, even, are not even special to her.

Isis's most common symbol is a kite. She could also be identified with a hawk after her son, Horus, or after her "father" Ra. Ra is not her father persay, but rather a god who is often referred to as the father or procreator of the others, much in a single entity splitting themselves into aspects. But back to the point, I doubt Isis would be happy with such offerings, since both kites and hawks are important to her.

Also, for the creator of the post, Isis is the Greek form of the name Aset. Aset is her Egyptian name.

Thank you, LdyGry for the detailed answer.

So you are telling me that even if the ex-lover passes away, the energy that woman/man in question could devote to thinking about returning to her/his ex-lover can be used towards something else that can hinder the caster's relationship with her/him? And in order to keep her/him by your side you would have to keep casting the spell in order to prevent such energy from coming up?

Now, I'm going to answer a few questions myself:

First, I have to ask what you know of magic. Are you a true beginner, in look of a quick-fix such as a love spell ?

I've only been studying magic for close to two months. So in a way I can classify myself as a beginner. I've casted a few simple spells that have very little reprecussions if any. This is why I asked questions about this spell first before I even attempted to cast it.

Do you understand the basics of magic? Do you actually want to understand magic? Or are you just looking to do a spell, have it work, and it be done?

I know how to cast a circle, as well as meditate and focus my energies into casting a spell. I now know I don't know enough but I am serious with magic as I plan to use it throughout my life. If you do know spells though that can be done by someone at my level that can produce similar results, I am open to it.

If you want to know more than the quick-fix, use this oppurtunity to learn more about magic and understand what it really is and how to really use it. If not, you can go ahead and do whatever you like. If you believe this spell will work whole-heartedly, it will, whether you understand it, or it's repercussions fully.

I am and that is why I'm keeping my mind open. After thinking about it and reading the responses in this post, I have decided to hold off casting the spell until the next Full Moon, which is September 13. Until then, I will learn to increase my magic power by casting lesser spells and learning the basics. I will see if I can learn as much as I can and if I feel like I'm still not ready to cast such a spell, I will wait until the next full moon again.

I think if their ex-lover died or otherwise was removed from the picture, then you wouldn't have to worry about your lover returning to them, obviously. That doesn't mean they won't leave again for someone new.

Basically, if you reconcile with a lover based on magic, you need to keep them there by your side with magic. For some people this is totally worth it. One would just shift gears once their lover returned - they would change the nature of the spellwork from reconciliation work to stay-with-me work.

If you didn't continue with stay-with-me spellwork, then you run the risk of your lover leaving once the energy of the magic runs out. Now, the nature of the type of spellwork required to keep a lover and the duration of the casting varies quite a bit. For some people, they have their lover returned, do some sort of very aggressive binding, and that alone keeps them there for a long time. Others do more long-term gentle work, like erect a love altar, create a honey jar for the relationship, perhaps work some Lodestones, pray to deity to keep their partner, etc.

Sometimes, after a while, a returned lover will stay on their own volition, not needing a bunch of magical efforts to keep them there. However, in my experience, this is pretty uncommon.
