For those who want to make claims without research, take the time to read Isaac Bonewits' book "Witchcraft - A concise guide" and let it direct your further studies.

Wicca IS new, in the big picture, not ancient.

You won't find too many well-read Wiccans who will try to insist anymore that Wicca is an ancient religion. But for an even better history of Wicca than that by Bonewits I would recommend "Triumph of the Moon" by Ronald Hutton and "Gerald Gardner and the Cauldron of Inspiration" by Phillip Heselton.

I agree Lark. But, given the general audience on this site, I wanted to go "simple". Besides, most of them won't bother to read any of these books.

i acutaly downloaded this book off of 4share and i never got around to reading it i guess i should
( i dont consider my self wiccan more like eclectic pagan/witch)
