so, I made a potion that needs some of my blood, but then I realized that I can't do it! I need to use blood or else I know it won't work! So how can I find a way so there is no pain or something?

You know , I am always of the personal opinion that if a person needs to ask such a question like that , they are obviously inexperienced and not ready for such a working.
Blood in a working should never be taken lightly as it can be very powerful and is something highly personal and I am of the opinion that it should done only after great consideration.
Also , the pain in the drawing of blood can be considered symbolic and part of the sacrifice.
If your working is not absolutely neccassary , omit it or find a subsitute.
I am of the personal opinion that you should not even be using blood at all for this.
Anyway, now that the warning is given , here is how you should draw blood.
Take a Blade and place it near your thumb of your non-dominant hand. In fact , any finger pad would do but I would recommend the thumb as skin there is thicker and so reduces chances of scarring.
Lightly run your thumb over the blade , quickly but gently. Ensure that it is not too deep and make sure the cut is shallow. If done correctly , a few drops of blood can be squeezed out.
I suppose some may use a needle but I would prefer using a blade.
Once you are done with your working , clean the wound properly. Apply some antiseptic cream and bandage it. Your wound should be fully healed in a day or two.
^ Yes. Make sure the blade or needle is sanitized as well. There does not need to be a river of blood, a small drop can do. Some prefer to use a little sticker for testing blood sugar. Make sure everything is clean and safe.
Also, do not use blood on an object that will be touched or consumed by other people. You said a potition, so I feel the warning is needed.
