Holding onto a minute

Not so much a magic issue but more (I think) in lines with meditation. I have noticed the ability to make a few minutes stretch out to last around an hour. (No not literally) For example Every so often when I have to go to work and failed to get enough sleep. I will lie down for a few minutes rest. I will concentrate on relaxing and for lack of better words "holding onto a minute" While doing so it feels like more time has passed than actually has. Most times I go check the alarm clock thinking "ow God I've over slept and am late for work" (I need to have more faith in my alarm clock:p) Only to find that one or two minutes have passed.

Any way when I do this It feels like I've gotten an hours rest and I'm good to go. I have found that it will not work if you are listening to music or watching something that is continually moving.

So does anyone else have experiences like this? If you have not tried it I suggest giving it a try say before you would normally go to work or school. (Note try it 10 minutes before you would have gotten up anyway so to avoid being late)

Intrigued. Could you elaborate on it a bit more? What do I need to do in order to get more 'bang for my buck', so to speak?

Well what you described is when you can catch forty winks (is actually the best time for me to have lucid dreams), which is more the magic of your body actually knowing its needing some rest ;)
If you all think about it?, you all would have dosed off for a few minutes but still be semi aware, then become fully alert then realise its only been a few mins that actually felt like hours.

Yes, I do know what you are talking about. Its like a state of mind where time doesn't seem real and seems to stretch out forever. That usualy happens in the mornings for me

It is actually through one of these states that I first (to my knowledge) met my higher self and she spoke to me.

I consider it a trance state myself and it has been very helpful to me both in the past and currently.

I find that it is in these states that we are most in-tune with ourselves; most at peace. I'm glad you aren't confusing your perception of time with an actual alteration.

From my experience, like one would manipulate energy one can manipulate awareness, yet it does take a rather unique approach.
Basically getting in touch with ones awareness and perception and then focus on changing perception and bringing understanding.

I do believe in time,as Samael is god of time(among many things). Thus in ancient pre physical concept of time, however i also understand there is perceptive time.

I suggest expanding this method, experimenting and trying.Might do nothing, might help one awareness and understanding, always worth a try.

Theres a miscellaneous sections? I should probably learn to scroll down more often. :p

As to how to help this work. I've found controlled breathing and heart rate helps to bring this on. Take long slow breaths tends to to the trick.
