I'm curious to theories of other people. The crystals on my necklace (as depicted as my profile pic) glow red when I take a pictures of them. I don't notice any closings from them just looking at them physically. But like I said it only shows when pictures are taken of them. State your opinions and theories to why that happens. If any of you do not mind doing so that is.

It's a cool piece for sure. Perhaps the red is from the red light on your camera? I know mine has a red light for when the flash on. Perhaps this is why, or not.

is the picture taken with a flash? There are crystals out there like alexandrite and I believe it was indicolite ( going by memory can be hard at times), but when alexandrite is exposed to artificial light it changes from purple to red, A ruby when exposed to uv light will flouresce inthe most amazing red color.
there are some that will change color as viewing aspect is changed. When we look for calcedony roses in the desert we use uv light to show us where the are kinda dangerous as scorpions also glow in uv light. but back to you question, there are crystals the change color, glow, its just another wonderful aspect of mother nature.

To answer your questions, no, they were not taken with flash. Just under normal lighting at the house.
Thanks for the compliment.
And thanks for the extra information.
if I recollect correctly the crystals you see are quartz. Not exactly sure of what kind but they are clear but also murky white as if there is a mist in them. There is 7 crystals on that necklace now. 6 are the same quartz of various sizes and shapes but all wand/pointed-rod shaped. They aren't cut. And the last is a citrine. When I can I will post the completed crystal necklace.

Maybe they could be the "lemurian seed" variety which has a faint pinkish tinge. But the pink of a lemurian seed can be seen with the eye.

It could just be a trick of your camera.

I descibed what colour they do have (the white mist) but other than that they have absolutely no colour at all. Its possible its a trick of the camera but it quite strand that I use the camera regularly and a have quite a bit of crystals and no matter what I pair them with or how I take them or what I take pictures of those three specific crystals are the only ones to be seen glowing like that. Nothing else has.

It is possible that if you you used a digital camera your ccd chip inside might discern light frequencies beyond our own capabilities. the same reason digital cameras can take pictures of disembodied spirits. I worked with Fiber optics and they would say that at 825 nm frequency we should not see the laser light, they were wrong I can see it like a little red dot of light. Some times the impurities in the crystal are vibrating at a rate that is different to our normal vision. Just a educated guess.

I'm not ruling out any possibility as to what the reason for the glowing is. I thought it over for a while before making the post. My theory is that the camera happens to capture energy wave frequencies emanating from the crystals themselves and they happen go be viewed as red. Most likely because of the frequency level the energy emanates.
