Necklace spells?

If you do a spell that involves wearing a necklace, is it ok just to make your own one, like by tying the ends of some string together, and threading bits of coloured drinking straws onto it, then wearing it?

thats a good idea
I make my own necklaces myself.
I think if you have the right intention in your mind and the right creativity, you can make a great necklace

unless it calls for a very specific item, making your own tools and accessories is always helpful and often more powerful in the end.

Often when you make things yourself, it works better because you are putting your own energy into it. Think about it; you know your own energy more than any other type of energy, right?

I have heard of these normally they will place a protective item in the chain and call it a guard. but you can use energy just as effective i placed such an enchantment on my jewelry like that

Making my own jewellery is a hobbie of mine and sometimes I like to add a protection spell on certain things I make, I have a triquetra necklace that I put a protection spell on(which is half made by me and half not, I made the thong the pendant it's on, but bought the pendant), when I take it off I feel a lot lighter as if I've just took off heavy armour...but when its on it just feels normal like any other necklace. I think it's ok to use ones you didn't make aswell, but it's better if it's made by yourself.

Wait a second...did you say "bits of colored drinking straws" like a straw cut up to make beads? I think I did that in kindergarden.

Please for your own dignity sake, buy or make beads. There are a lot of self hardening clays, you can also use wire to wrap objects (adding a loop for the string). You can create paper mache beads/pendents and paint them with runes or symbols.

Plastic is man made, go for earth given materials (glass=sand, newspaper is recycling a tree, clay is from the earth, etc) and making them adds your energy to the objects which makes it very easy to work with them magickally.

Let's step away from the drinking straws.

It is great to make your own necklace, as you feel more connected to, but make sure what you put on it is related to the thing you would like to enchant it with, or the spell..

I dont think 'plastic drinking straws.' would be a good idea.. xD

If it is for protection, love, sleep, etc.. put things on it that are ASSOCIATED with those things.

Hope this helped!
