Hi

My name is Philo and I'm very new to all this. I'm interested in learning more on how to perform spells. I found some spells on this site I'd like to try out but was wondering how long you should perform the spell or how many times you should repeat a spell.

Thank you

Okay cool! If you are new to magic I suggest you look at some on the five star spells on this site and to read some of the articles on candles, herbs, moon cycles and basically get yourself knowledgeable on a few things.
When reading (and possible practising) the spells or rituals you will notice a few patterns like:
Saying 'So mote it be' at the end of a chant
Chanting things 3-5-7 times until the spell is done.
Usually you can't until you feel like the spell is done or you chant until you have completed a particular task.
You usually can feel when spells are done because they almost radiate a form of energy which you can sense with practise and meditation.
:)
Hope you found that helpful

If you are new we recommend you learn some basics:

What magick can and cannot do
Grounding
Centering
Meditation
Visualization
Energy work.

Before moving onto casting spells.
Also, when you plan on casting spells don't use the ones on this site (the 5 star spells are ranked on how well they are written, not their quality), it is always better to write spells yourself, but you should know the basics before you start.

Some information to get you started can be found at:
