No and no. 'Grey magick' doesn't have anything to do with 'shapeshifting' and 'boring stuff' it refers to the fact that all spells could go either way, they could be 'white' or 'black' depending on how you perceive them.

Example, you cast a love spell on your crush. Love spell is good, therefore 'white magick'. But how do you define 'harm'? If it includes forcing something against a person's will, then a love spell is in fact 'black magick' because a love spell designed to make your crush love you is overpowering their ability to choose freely what they want and will instead do what you desire.

Another example, you decide casting on someone unwilling is harmful, but you have a sick friend in the hospital, and you know you could help with a healing spell. They say they don't want any spell used on them. Do you obey their wishes, or cast anyway because you are helping them?

This is 'Grey magick' it's the realization there is almost always a moral dilemma with spells. Practically every spell could be debated as 'good' or 'evil' and it is your decision what is best.

Modern Magick is a great Book
I work with it a lot but His path and Believe systems is not like others..All Magick is Grey to Me as in its neither Black or White but a mixture of Both.. Sometimes our hearts and minds can effect a spell differently then we intent to project it.

Wow, that makes a lot of sense. Thank you very much. I have a new perspective. I see now why I was called upon to be a Grey Witch.

Gray magic is a line between what we all call white and black magic. For example from where I come from if a curse is cast on somebody who also is into the art, well the right thing to do is to send the curse back to where it came from.
