vagetarian and magic

I became a vegetarian recently. it is a very difficult path, but I'm very happy that I don't cause the death of an animal just so I can enjoy its meat. I also do not kill animals. not even mosquitos (well... I kill mosquito larvaes, as it threatnes our lives.)

my question is, by being vegetarin does it helps on your magical powers and chakras?

It shouldn't make any difference. And, we don't eat meat purely for pleasure; it is the quickest way to obtain protein! You say that you don't kill animals, but you don't mind killing plants?

@ Brysing Plants aren't cute therefore it's cool.

I don't know what your spiritual path is, but I know of many Wiccans who choose to be vegetarian or even vegan and their magickal work hasn't been effected. As long as you keep healthy, your magick work/chakras will be fine. Just a word to the wise, make sure you keep track of what you eat for the first little while to make sure you're getting enought of the nutrition needed [Like if you had a protein shake or peanut butter, be sure you're getting enough] my friend was a vegetarian for about 10 years [simply because some kid told her she couldn't] and she ate nothing but fries and grilled cheese sandwiches so she wasn't the healthiest person as a result.

In my opinion, as long as the diet you choose keeps you healthy it should not have an effect one way or the other on your magic.

On the other hand, if your diet is missing key nutrients and you therefore become ill it can have a negative impact on your magical abilities just as it would if you had a cold or the flu. It takes a bit more work on a vegetarian or vegan diet to gain the same required nutrients as you would get in a diet containing meats or dairy products. So if you're going to go that route and stay healthy it pays to study carefully about what your diet needs to include to insure you get proper nutrition.

as long as you stay healthy...then go for it...but like Brysing says, its the lack of protein you need to worry about.

Do you still eat dairy and things like whey protein?

hey im sorry but this bugs me a bit

i was vegetarian most my life because i was against animal cruelty, but now i eat grade 5 meat (meaning the animal had a full life, no cages or crates, lived with its family, never moved, had a healthy safe diet based on its actual diet, and has no gmo hormones or etc, plus some more i cant remember)

but seriously... you know resent studied show plants actually are more aware than we think. grass that hasnt been cut will lean away from the cut grass (interperated that the grass knows its being cut or really attacked by an unknown enemy and turns from the vibration)
and plants actually can feel pain, just not the same way we do. like as long as those veggies are green red or whatever color they are- they feel pain (some not all )

now back to topic

it shouldnt effect at all.and sorry for the long post

I agree with the comments above.

Death is a natural thing along with eating other species of animals and organisms. That is my opinion. Science has also been looking into the awareness that plants have.
