Beginners way to writing

Hello all you beginning spell casters out there, you wiccans, druids, whatever ye be. by now, i bet you are wondering how the majority of us write or own spells. there are a few steps to make a good spell that works for you

1. BOOK OF SHADOWS
every good witch/wizard needs a book to record their spells in. Go to the book store and pick out a nice journal that you are prepared to write in for the next few years. (most people go through a Book of Shadows a year - but you dont have to go through so many; im still in the same one ive had since i started the craft 3 years ago).

2. INTENT/INTENTION
Establish your intention. what is the purpose of your spell, why are yo doing it, who might it effect? before writing a spell, you must considering all of these questions, or you may doubt your own working.

3. Establish a RITUAL
All spells have a ritual that you must perform to envoke cosmic energies. Many people look to other people who have similar spells as they want to have, and get ideas on how a typical ritual for their intent goes. You can find spells on the internet, and in books. There are so many places to spark your inspiration for your personally made ritual. Items like candles and ceertain herbs (pretaining to your intent) are highly recommended if you are beginning your studies.

4. PERFORM your ritual.
Before writing stuff down in your spell book (book of shadows) it is important to TEST your spell/ritual. Perform it to make sure that it works. If it does not give a desired effect or does not work at all, you may want to change items in the ritual around to better attune with your personal symbols, and comfortability. Keep trying until you get it right. Spell casting/witchcraft is a science.

5. RECORD
Now that your ritual is a SUCCESS :D ... it is time to write it down in your Book of Shadows. What you write down is the whole process of what you did, the ingredients, time, moon phase, sun phase (if day) and best place to perform. If you lack any of these key details, the spell may not work as it did before. if any of these details are not necessary for the spell to work, then there really is no need to write it down (is there?).

All of these things should help you to write a dandy spell. I encourage you to NOT tell your friends you are casting spells because that can instill doubt into your subconcious mind. dont tell them unless they ask. also, dont brink your Book of Shadows to very many public places, BOS's have a tendancy to capture energies.

Enjoy!
