and regarding your desire for a teacher, you might wish to read this post as well: http://www.spellsofmagic.com/read_posts.html?post=588889

so, a few questions for you regarding a teacher, one being why exactly do you want a teacher? many people on here didn't have teachers [i'm self taught] we seeked the knowledge and when we got stuck, we would ask on these forums for advice. for those of us who eventually found teachers, it wasn't online. online is a great way to share information, but magick is something you feel, you can't teach someone over a computer. [also, there's a difference between magick and spells, some people believe in magick but don't cast spells. just a heads up on that.]

if you still feel you need a teacher, you might want to narrow things down a bit, like a specific path or type of spell casting that interests you, how much of a commitment you're looking for in terms of time and homework, perhaps you should also inquire how long they've studied. while some study harder than others, it's a good idea to know how 'advanced' your teacher is, what they know, and how often they practice. many who 'accept students' online are just past 'the basics' and think they're able to teach [nothing wrong with sharing knowledge, but it takes more than competing 'Solitary Witch' to be qualified to teach]
