I'm new, shocker right?

In case you couldn't tell from me posting in the "introduce yourself" forum, I'm new. I don't know what exactly I am supposed to be telling y'all about myself so if I miss anything please ask and I will fill you in. For starters, I have known many Wiccans and witches, but never knew too much about their beliefs and practices. I have recently become inexplicably intrigued in the practice of spell casting, making contact with spirits, and learning more about the forces that move around us.

I believe I am humble and honest. With that being said I acknowledge that I am an intelligent person, which has actually led me to trouble because I am always hungry for more information and tend to question everything, even my closest held beliefs.

What I am really looking for is a mentor. Someone that has plenty of experience with this under their belt that is willing to help me learn and grow. I need someone that can answer the many questions I will have as well as help walk me through the practices. I would need someone that can look beyond everything for the sake of knowledge as I want to learn everything both "good" and "bad".

I look forward to meeting more people on this forum and if there is anyone living in Houston I would love to get together either one on one or as a group to discuss.

Welcome to SoM! Make sure you check out other places in the forums as well as the articles on site; there is a lot that can be learned from them.

As for finding a mentor, that probably won't happen. Many people won't teach here on site. It is difficult and time consuming, and there is only so much a person can teach you. A lot of your learning will come from personal research and experience. That being said, people will definitely be willing to point you in the right direction and answer specific questions. For instance, feel free to ask me any questions through mail, and I will answer them to the best of my abilities. The chatter and forums are also a great place to ask questions and get a variety of opinions.

I wish you luck!
